Another economical way of storing your video memories to a digital format is to put it on a CD…also referred to as a CD-ROM. With the right software a CD-ROM will play in a computer or laptop CD or CD/DVD combo drive. Depending on the screen configuration of your monitor, up to 1 hour of motion can be played back from a CD. All CD-ROMs are digitally coded in QuickTime and your computer needs the right software to encode it for playback. A free download is available for PC or Macintosh via the Internet at
www.quicktime.com.
Please remember that the quality of a CD-ROM is only as good as your computer display or monitor can handle. Even though you may have a 1gHz computer, the processing speed may be much lower and your picture could appear "jittery". We also do not recommend transferring more than 60 minutes of video to a CD-ROM due to the amount of information, which ultimately will affect the quality of your transfer.
Your CD is delivered in a clear plastic case. Should you want a color or b&w CD label and/or a CD front and back cover, an additional charge per printable side as outlined in the
options applies.
Ready to have your footage transferred to CD-ROM? Then please go to our
order form in PDF format and select "print" from your toolbar.
